Ruined
Wow! That was such a great experience for me to go to see the play "Ruined" at the Huntington Theatre with you. I wanted to know what you felt about the play.
That was such a great experience for me to go to see the play "Ruined" at the Huntington Theatre that's a great play and i like it so much. I wanted to know when this problem happen if you was there at this time and if you have a friend close to you this happen to her.
From what I read about the author Lynn Nottage, she was not there at the time but went to the Congo after the War to research how the war affected the women.
The soldiers are fight all the time. They have many burden. So the soldiers take the strain to the women. Yes, I thing the soldiers kill the enemy are better.
No, I would not commit suicide for nobody because I love myself too much, whatever the situation. If you were Christian, would you come back to mama Nadi?
I learned about the life in the Congo and how during a civil war women are victims. I also learned about the mentality of some men who reject their wives when they have been raped by soldiers. That is very cruel. Can you describe your experience reading the play before and after we saw it performed? Also how did the author use foreshadowing in the play?
after i saw the play when i read i visualing salima.i think salima when she was pregnant she feel so bad she doesn't know who is baby father.this very very sad when her husband came to saw her.if you are salima, what do you want to do talk to your husband?
IF i was Salima,i would talk to Fortune to let him know what happened to me was not my fault,it was just the place that cause that happen.I am telling you"If you really loved me that cannot breake our relationship,if you rerally loved me, accept me my love"
If you were Fortune, what would be your reaction if you find your wife at the postitution place and see her pregnant?
I'm going become crazy because if I find my wife in a prostitution place and she is pregnant, but I'm try to investigate why she is in this place, what is the reason and how she get pregnant. If she get pregnant by a rape, it is hard but, I'm try to understand her.
If you were christian and you were treated badly, what will be your reaction?
This week we read the poem "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley written in 1875. I am intersted in your response to this poem. You could write about your favorite line, the mood, the charactereists, any connection you have or explain why or why not you feel this poem is "timeless."
I like this poem, for the last line EX"I am the master of my fate:" "I am the capain of my soul", it means no one can control him, he was very strong person. It warn someone never gave up.
"Invictus" by william Ernest, my favorite line of the poem is "I am the master of my fate" because this mean that you are make you on future, you can do what you want in your life, you can make your own path in life. Then, the charactereists of the poen are Rhyme,Rhyme patterns A,B,A,B. Also, I have connection with William Ernest because I never give up on the bad things and situations that happen to me in life.
I read the poem "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley. i really like how he wrote it,like the rhyme patterns ABAB. i like the words in the poem:master, captain fate.He was a very strong man, even he had difficulties in his life, his foot cut off,he had tuberculosis,he did many efforts to attain what he wanted. I like the fourth stanza in the poem.
I like this poem because it talks about a person who had many setbacks in his life, but he keep on going confronting life without care because he not afraid. Also,I like the two last sentence of the poem because these words taught me, that I'm the woner of my fate and I can choose my own decisions, nobody have to choose for me.
Henley have connection with Nelson Mandela because they were suffered,Henley wrote this poem to express his feeling and when Mandela was in the jail, he read this poem because it gave force and hope to him.
I like this pome. Because Henley are brave. He never afraid and he had a difficult life. When I watch tihs pome I want to be a brave woman. I like the last seantion "I am the captain of my soul. That is mine he never give up.
i read the poem invictus by william ernesty henley. my fovorite sentence the poem is " for my unconquerable soul" i like this because i love strong people.
